The story of Nashville, Tennessee rapper JayOso Smoove is quite a unique one. The 20-year old rapper was born in Chicago on September 1st, 2000. JayOso had always been a fan of music since a young age and officially began his music career in March of 2019. He relayed to us that his biggest inspirations have been Adele, Bastille, Juice WRLD and Lil Uzi Vert. After a 8-month hiatus from music, JayOso Smoove is back with a music video for his two new singles “Jackie Chan” and “Sad”.
The incredible visuals begin with dark, melancholy shots as “Sad” begins. “Sad was more of a song to connect with others who deal with depression,” stated JayOso in our brief interview. As the video progresses, the theme evolves toward more bright and promising vibes. The meaning behind the video transitioning from dark to light is to demonstrate how real life can be. JayOso Smoove’s goal was to inspire others to overcome their own struggles.
