Milford, Connecticut’s very own Matty White pours his heart into his cup and lets his audience take a sip on his latest effort, “Pour Me Something Strong”. Crooning over the piano driven cloud hop instrumental (produced by frequent collaborator Ro Bless), Matty relays the trials and tribulations of his love life. You can hear the pain in his voice, yearning to be heard and appreciated; all while swallowing those emotions back down with liquor to avoid the heartache.
Matty White’s influences are wide-ranging, but he finds that his true roots lie with Big L, Blink-182, Lil Peep and Juice WRLD. Starting his journey in 2016 he began writing and recording songs on his laptop after hearing a Lil Peep song for the first time. Being inspired by such a barrier breaking artist, Matty immediately went to work. However, it wasn’t until late 2017, after the passing of his grandmother who told him to pursue his dreams, that would Matty begin to release his music. Since then he has been garnering a following and steadily releasing new music. Being the multi-faceted artist he is, Matty White is fresh off a Punk-Rock debut album release titled, “Issues”, which is available to stream on all platforms alongside “Pour Me Something Strong”.
