San Francisco-based artist Watzreal just dropped his latest single “Let Me Shine“. The hard-hitting boom bap beat is a product of beautiful piano melodies and heavy bass. The 31-year old shows no signs of letting up. Furthermore, his music has a purpose. Watzreal began his journey in music in his youth when he joined a hip hop therapy organization Beats Rhymes. He’s now been a part of the team for almost a decade, providing therapy for underserved communities within the Bay Area. On “Let Me Shine“, Watzreal raps with brutal honesty. Acknowledging the struggles of being an artist, he relays his goals as he plans to push on.
“It’s been a process to get me out the darkness, sometimes I got the light other times I feel I lost it. Clock’s ticking I’ma take my time so stand back and just let me shine” – Watzreal on “Let Me Shine“
“Let Me Shine” is the 2nd single from Watzreal’s upcoming project, ‘The Dark Album‘. He relayed to us that the project will be his most lyrical, vulnerable and cohesive project to date. He anticipates releasing the album later this year. For now, he provides us with a motivational ballad on “Let Me Shine“. Check out the full song below!
